our books:

the Perhaps trilogy

The Perhaps trilogy was conceived with a sincere reverence for the big life lessons children are confronted with. At its core, the collection focuses on helping children navigate their inner worlds and build emotional resilience, embracing a quiet, contemplative spirit that we trust will resonate deeply with young readers.

The first story, Perhaps Joy, gently teaches that happiness is not something to be chased, but a quiet feeling that can be nurtured from within. The journey continues in Perhaps Love, which guides young readers toward self-acceptance, showing them how to treat themselves with the same patience and kindness they would offer a good friend. Finally, Perhaps Dream encourages children to look toward their future with hope and trust. Together, these three stories provide a comforting, supportive framework to help children grow into peaceful, self-assured individuals.

Envisioned as a cross-cultural journey, the series introduces children to essential emotional landscapes through a bilingual format. The first volume, Perhaps Joy, is currently available with fully integrated Japanese and English text, while the second book, Perhaps Love, is actively undergoing translation to continue this shared experience. By presenting these concepts across languages, the books aim to offer families in both cultures a gentle tool for connection and shared reflection.
